You asked one of the posters to take a photo of a tray of blueberries - are you joking? Why don't you get down to VM and see what they have on offer.

26 years old and 78KG, not 76. No I do need to lose weight as I have a beer belly, again. I was just curious at the size of the tray lol..

Also what would be the standard price for a juicer or smoothy maker, I have never owned, used or touched one in my life believe it or not, not even back home. I would probably go to tesco in the market village and get one there as I have had a club card for 3 years.

@Dannie, I just nee/want to change up my diet so it is healthier and balanced as I work from home so I am not so mobile, I exercise as much as I can and the notion sprung to mind that my diet is out of balance, including the alcohol. I would just like a toned body again, no silly little beer belly and not tint moobs, need to change that into muscle! xD

With respect tomtom it sounds as if you might have some eating and other disorders. Mr Plum has given some very good advice. There is nothing wrong with ripe mango for example - but as with any fruit it loses it's dietary benefits with age.
If you are happy with eating most types of foods then the stuff you can buy easily and cheaply from any stall in HH is likely to be a damn sight better for you than what you would get back home.
If you are really worried about your dietary intake you can buy good food supplements from the pharmacies. but it is important to eat the real foods as well.
Do you have problems getting out to look for things? Please pm one of us if you need help.

Thanks for your concern but no I really do not have an eating disorder, my sister did and she was basically really unhealthy, I understand and know that it is just as bad to be really underweight as well as over weight, I just want to tone my body back to how it was before I was drinking every other day... I have a distinct beer belly which looks stupid matched with my complexion and I would like to tone up, that's all. As well as that I just want to improve on my diet and eat a healthy balanced one, sometimes it is harder to do that when you are in a place such as Thailand unless you know all of the right places. Thanks for your concern though.

Sounds as though you need more exercise rather than diet - you admit you have cut out most of the booze, so a varied diet and some specific exercises should get rid of the beer belly - if that doesn't work for you then maybe you should try another forum?

Thanks for your input, I may invest in a juicer and make myself some shakes. What is wrong with ripe mango's by the way? I don't like the taste of unripe mango's, bleh.
They sell unripe mangoes with a little bag of sugar as a dip, for those who suffer from 'bleh' :naughty: I like them without because my taste buds haven't been destroyed by the high in sugar/fat/salt SAD diet.

Like most people, you already know what you are doing wrong and what you need to do to put it right. You just need a kick in the rear to get going. I'm sure everyone on the forum will support your efforts. When are you going to start? Feel free to post your progress on the forum. If you lapse, without a reasonable excuse, expect withering abuse.

MrPlum thank you again for your kind words, I appreciate it :)

Well my last drink was four days ago and I have not been tempted since. It was a Thai friends birthday yesterday and I had the chance to drink but I didn't. Today I have been to Tesco in the Market village and got myself a juicer for 900baht (not sure if it can handle ice though..), and bought some grapes, green green mangos (yes bleh I know but I will blend them up), bananas, pineapple, water melon, and things for salads. I am working out from home now on a daily basis as you don't need to go to a gym to exercise. I am working on cardio mostly and a lighting weights on a few muscle groups. Honestly I don't have an eating disorder lol, I don't make myself sick or anything like that, I just want to live healthier than I was and have a toned body again like I mentioned before. Thanks for the care though Plum :)

At 18cm and 78K you are not overweight. There is much good advice in posts above this. Be sure that you are ENJOYING your food otherwise your good intentions will have a very short life. In fact it should not be"A DIET" but rather a healthy way of eating. Diets always focus on what is forbidden rather than what are preferred foods.

Why won't anybody listen... I said I am going to change up my diet, I am aware that 'diets' are fads and that essentially we are all on a diet, just we need to have a balanced one. I have a beer belly of sorts, do I really have to take a picture and show you guys? It is not anything huge but it is not toned, I just wish to be toned. By losing weight I mean lose fat and replace it with expanding on my muscle mass, which will keep my weight around the same as it is anyway.

the habit of what exactly? I have had some god advice on foods and the smoothie machine (works a treat but dunno how long it will last by putting small bits of ice in it), and MrPlum has been very kind and helpful indeed. But I seem to have to keep repeating myself and because I am 26 I seem to be taken as fool or ignorant. I know about eating a balanced diet, exercise etc, I don't have an eating disorder and I just wish to be toned lol... cleared up?

Hi TomTom55,

If you want to lose that beer belly, and get toned up at the same time, you should give Wado Karate a go http://huahinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21316 .

At 26 years old and 76/78Kg you would be an ideal student, and I think training with me would help your quest at the same time as learning an important life skill - self defence.

Adult classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays 7pm to 9pm. The first lesson is always free, and there is no obligation to continue if you don't think it's for you.

Don't forget, the first lesson is always free with the WKF - absolutely no obligation

I think you should consider including some Prozac in your diet as well.
