Where to buy traditional lanterns (coach lights)

Mrs JJB and I have been looking for some lanterns to finish off our 'terrace' (yes, I think it looks like a patio, too) and searched all the usual stores when we were last here over Christmas. The sort we are looking for is the typical chrome and metal type as below and you can't move for the things in John Lewis etc. back in Blighty, which are made in India.

The closest we got was at Chic Republic, above Pure Plaza, where their catalogue featured such lanterns on the front cover but we were disappointed to find that these were only sourced for the photo shoot and CR didn't sell them...

One option is to have them fabricated at the HH Metal Blending company http://www.huahin-metalblending.com/ and we were hoping to get either some views on that from people who have experience with this company or just info on where the finished article might be sourced. I should add that Mrs JJB is adamant that this is the style she wants, nothing painted, too fancy, too small, made of wood, etc. etc. so my options are fairly limited to substitute with something else.

There is a small light shop just before the Pure electrical outlet. I have bought all of my extrerior lights from there. The stock in the shop is not so extensive but the owner and his wife are very helpful and they have many catalogues you can choose from. I have found them to be very good.

There's a light shop on Petchkasem Road just after you pass soi 51 heading south into town. Alternatively, opposite Somtawin school.
I've been into there to buy bulbs before and they seem to have a huge array of lamps. Don't know if they'll have what you want but maybe it's worth a look?

The shop on soi 51 is probably the same shop that I referred to. It has an open front and usually has parking spaces available directly outside.

Thanks for the light shop recommendation from both Bristolian and Lomuamart, I think it's safe to assume it's the same one. While it is a veritable treasure trove of lights and lanterns, they are all of the electrical variety and whilst eager to help, the owners were at a loss to recommend where else we might go. Granted, it's been three months since we last looked in Index and Boonthavorn etc. but we'll try them again this week.

In the meantime, if there are any other eagle-eyed HHFers who could point us in a rough direction, it is greatly appreciated.

First order of the day, however, is figuring out why we don't have any water...and then to the lamps!

Yes, lanterns that take candles but of the larger variety (think Church candles) and not the small tea light ones. Dimensions-wise, I'd say around 20cm square by 50cm tall or thereabouts. We found some small teal light ones in Chic Republic but they are [apparently] too small.

Yes we have although, again, it was back at Christmas time so I'll swing by in the next few days and let you know if we find them. Thanks for the suggestion!

You may want to go to the shops that supply the temples, though those may be of the oil-burning variety...

I saw almost exactly what you are looking for today; just a bit small maybe. They were at a restaurant called Pony; it is just after Makro heading north; it is in the block of shops just before the u-turn. They were not for sale but since the restaurant has only been open 2 months they should be able to tell you where they bought them. There is a shop as you walk in but they are not there; they are in the actual restaurant.

The food was also excellent so worth a visit just for that!
