Re: Europa League
Not sure if raffa gets bored, more likely he is pleased to be at a club capable of winning silverware. (Ouch).
I suppose I will have to get used to consoling my sad liverpool supporting brother for some years ahead, its not a big problem though as I have been doing this for years now.
Being a considerate chap I will as always invite him to watch champions league football with me and encourage him to cheer on chelsea.

Careful, you haven't qualified for next season yet!tuktukmike wrote:Being a considerate chap I will as always invite him to watch champions league football with me and encourage him to cheer on chelsea.

This is the way
Re: Europa League
Only Chelsea have won more knock out cup competitions than Liverpool since the turn of 2000, and that was because of the FA Cup Final last year, don't confuse "not winning stuff" with not finishing in the Top 4 for a few years. You know, with us winning a cup last year and being in the FA Cup Final.tuktukmike wrote:Not sure if raffa gets bored, more likely he is pleased to be at a club capable of winning silverware. (Ouch).

Re: Europa League
Do you know I had completely forgotten that we thrashed liverpool in last years cup final, cant honestly remember what cup your lot won last year but I am sure you'll remind me. Ha.
So I am curious, as an avid Liverpool fan when do you expect to see them back in the top 4.
I ask because without doubt the current top 5 are going to spend big this year even those manky spuds, gerrard is getting on and there seems not a great deal of cash in the pot for brendan to play with.
I would love to see Liverpool in the top 4 again as I would save so much money on tissues for my bro.

Re: Europa League
I don't see why we can't challenge for the top 4 next year, our form in the second half of the season has been top 4 form, only United have scored more goals, only City have more clean sheets, Sturridge and Coutinho look great additions. We're just a little inconsistent.
Don't know what gives you the impression we won't spend, we're always competitive in the transfer window.
Gerrard's just had his best season in 3 or 4 years, he's just had to adapt his game a tad.
Oh, and there's alot of rumours that Alonso is coming back which would be a little bit special.

thought Benfica would sneak a winner after the penalty.caller wrote:Chelsea champions!
A wonderful end to a difficult season!
Not a classic, but still good to see another English win in Europe and to see the scowl on Platini's face

Re: Europa League
Congrats to Chelsea ! If you get Mourinho back I can see you challenging for the Premiership title next season.
But where will the "interim one" end up ? He says he would like to stay in the English Premiership but where ?......maybe Everton or Fulham but how would that go down ?

Re: Europa League
Fair play to Chelsea, a trophy is always welcome, but it seems a high reward for being dumped out of the main European competition early.. Before any of you keyboard warriors start fuming in indignation I would have been happy to see Arsenal with this cup, but we managed to get into the knockout stages and didn`t get the opportunity which Chelsea took.
Re: Europa League
Yes,but it is meant to be a competition for the smaller clubs who cant challenge for the major trophies, arcadian !

Is this a recycled post from last year, or even the year before that?

In the meantime basque in the glory of possibly coming 4th.
Re: Europa League
I see Captain Leader Legend managed to make a similar show of himself as Chelsea fans this season.
You don't need shinpads or your full kit to lift a trophy "Big JT Captain, Leader, Legend"
Embarrassing.
