Dear valued friends and customers of the Dutchman Hua Hin,

Due to failed rental contract negotiations with our land lord, we have decided to close temporarily.

From today you will find the Dutchman Hua Hin to be closed and can look forward to be visiting us in our new location.
Due to the contract negotiations failing unexpectedly we do not have a new location yet, but will reopen as soon as we have found a suiting location.
Until then please watch our website and Facebook page, for more information.

We hope to welcome you again soon @ The Dutchman Hua Hin
Regards,

Manou

Sorry to hear. Typical Hua Hin landlord... as soon as they see they your business is making out ok, they want to up the ante. And most likely you will have a fight on your hands trying to get any deposit back.

Looking forward to seeing you back at a new location soon.

Well that explains the bad meal I had there a few days ago. A class act would have bowed out gracefully. You didn't.

Sorry, just one of a few possible reasons in my experience

Holy Moses, there are some truly ungracious... people on this forum.

Hope to see you back in business soon, Dutchman. Never had a reason to complain in 7 or 8 visits - on the contrary, one of the best places in its range in HH. Have taken many friends there too, not members of this forum, who have also become fans.
This is the way

.
To qualify my previous post I have eaten twice at Dutchman's and enjoyed the quality of food. The portion size was more than adequate for me but I usually eat with a couple of 'dustbins' who devour my left overs or I get a take away for a midnight 'beano'.

My point was in response to Bapaks post about greedy landlords. Yeh, sure LL's get greedy when they see lessees making good money BUT there are several other reasons for rental disagreements. I'm in no way saying these apply to Dutchman's situation.

A few are:

1) Greedy LL's see a successful business as a means of more revenue
2) Rent not paid
3) Competition jealous and doing deals with LL's and MIB
4) New lessee offering more money
5) Lessee not aware of all the add-ons involved when renting a property and expecting them to be covered by the rental agreement

I hope Dutchman's finds a new property where he/she/they can continue their good business

As for deposits............well a separate thread highlighted just how many never received a refund on rental

As for your post Homer, you should have complained if it was not to your liking and it's a stupid assumption IMO that food quality would suffer as a result of a rental disagreement
