Well let's hope Rafa takes over at Everton - tomorrow!

So, the officials beat us. The spuds 2nd goal shouldn't have been allowed as it was clearly offside.

But, why cannot Benitez ever shore up the defence? Hazard had to be replaced as he's still recovering from a Hamstring, so yeah maybe Moses, although he isn't the standard we need. But Benayoun - WTF!!!

The biggest criticism of Rafa since he took over is the familiar one, when we need to tighten up, we can't.

So, nice solid defending witnessed by Cahill for spuds goal 1, I think not, but hey, you kind of get used to that and although the 2nd shouldn't have been allowed, notwithstanding it was otherwise a good move, we were wide open.

So Bye-Bye Rafa and shut the door on your way out. If we cannot defend a lead, as has happened too often this season, we really don't need you. The answer is obvious, but not to the fat Spanish waiter.

Otherwise he's done okay, but okay isn't good enough.

Well, I thought Spurs were just about second best for a lot of that game. Chelsea were much sharper in their passing and movement and quicker to close us down. That midfield trio of Mata, Ramires and Hazard were very impressive, especially in the first hour.

Having said that, Adebayor played well (and about effin' time too) and we finished strongly. I think Chelsea were happier to hear the final whistle. A draw probably a fair result, and keeps us in the running.
And it certainly wasn't boring!

2 games left. For us nothing less than wins against Stoke and Sunderland will do, and I think the fans have a right to expect that.
Can Chelsea draw or lose against both Villa and Everton? I'd put a tenner on that if I was given decent odds.
Can Arsenal fail to beat either Wigan or Newcastle? Bloody right they can.

This season ain't finished yet!

Oh well, probably the best result one could hope for tonight. Still irritated of those last two five minutes during the weekend. Anyway a cracking finish to another entertaining season yet ahead.

Losing your touch a bit Arcadian. Less of the moonshine will put you in good stead.
Equally dumb comment, as before winning their first PL title in 1993, they hadn't won the title since 1967 :?
Less of the :rasta: will put you in good stead :D

Won't be easy at Stoke & home v Sunderland ????

They looked a bit weary at the end of the game tonight & with a cup final in between, it's possible.

Wigan should be run ragged at wembley on saturday (hopefully  ) adding a few more injuries to their depleted squad too  & Newcastle? unpredictable, but one game at a time

9 games this month for chelsea so happy with this result, certainly not the 3-1 loss that some over optimistic poster predicted.

Looks like spurs have missed out again barring a miracle.

Thai radio this morning and perhaps TV as well are having a laugh fest trying to pronounce Moyes name. The "es" is tough for them at the end so it comes out Moy, getting all kinds of laughs and snickers from co-announcers. Moy with the correct tone is pubic hair. :banghead: Pete

Agree with that
A fair but still naff result for us.

Having to depend on others' results is not what we should be having to do.

If, during the season, Adebayor had turned in a few more stints like he did last night, it may have been different.

good luck to Moyes should he go, he has made a big difference on the field over the last 10 years for us, our playing style was totally transformed

My guess is at least 1 if not 2 will follow him down the East Lancs, hope we get top dollar for them

Thanks for the memories,Sir Alex.....like him or loathe him,38 trophies is a fantastic record !
And dont forget when he was manager of Aberdeen he broke up the old firms monopoly by winning the title three times and the Cup Winners Cup in 1983 by beating Real Madrid.
In the last 40 years only Paisley,Dalglish and Shankly could begin to compare with his managerial record, which I mentioned only recently,by co-incidence !
So maybe tough times ahead on the forum for United fans.If things got really bad I spose I could always disappear for a while and then re-invent myself as a lifelong Bayern Munich fan called Jurgen Wunderbar ! :rasta:

Chelski v Spuds....good game....amazingly I thought the man of the match was Adebayor  ....why can he only play like that one game in twenty ?.....is his contract up for renewal or something?
Decent draw for the Spuds but difficult to see them making the top 4 now.....its never over till the fat lady sings but I think she is starting to clear her throat now ! 8)

It's all coming out now, Rooney wants out.

Not tabloid BS, apparently nailed on for Bayern until Chelsea have come in very late.

and the 4 Scottish Cups and the European Super Cup pretty much everything

For someone that , based on posts, I respect your knowledge of football you have let yourself down.

To mention Dalglish in the same managerial breath as Ferguson is baffling, how on earth could Dalglish even get possibly close?

Sorry,I've let myself down with that post !
Of course,I wasnt referring to Dalglish's record second time around but when he first took over in the mid 1980's he guided Liverpool to three titles and two FA Cups.
I dont think he was allowed to compete in Europe because of the Heysel ban,so could possibly have won more.
True his record is nowhere near as good as Fergusons but I think he has been one of the more succesful managers in the last 40 years.

Yeah, good luck, thanks for running your contract down and leaving the club with no compensation after doing nothing but whine about the club having no money for 11 years.

Top man.
