Greetings from Berkshire
Greetings from Berkshire
Hi all, after many years observing from the sidelines i've finally summoned up the courage to register and join in the banter.
As a frequent visitor to Hua Hin since 1987 I enjoy reading (and sometimes I don't) of updates and challenges that Hua Hin faces as it continues to expand from what I recall all those years ago, to the sprawling town that it is today.
Looking forward to sharing and exchanging our many collective experiences and who knows one day i might even have some old photographs of the town that can be shared too.
All the best
Andrew

Welcome Andrew, it sounds as though you have much more to offer to the forum than many of us with those photos going back some 25 years - please start posting.Andrew wrote:Hi all, after many years observing from the sidelines i've finally summoned up the courage to register and join in the banter.

The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

Welcome Andrew,
I had a few beers with an Andrew from Berkshire here some while back. There again there must be many Andrews in Berkshire and a few will no doubt have been to Hua Hin

Hi Andrew,
Don't be frightened.
Sometimes the banter gets a bit inflammatory.
But it's safe to stay on the sidelines and watch the show.
Where I live the TV is rubbish, so this Forum provides a nice alternative.
I have learned a lot.
Haven't been to Newbury since working with Quantel back in the'80s.
Those were the days.....

Thanks, I Should say that I will try and keep a low profile, but from the encouragement received so far I'm sure things will be just fine.bonnielass wrote:Glad to hear that Richard.

Sharing photos may take some further courage, but once I find them (remember these are the old fashion type, none of the fancy digital stuff around in those days) I will gladly share.

I'm further west (Berkshire)! The other side of Newbury.Andrew wrote:West Berkshire, between Reading and Newbury.caller wrote:Andrew, are you East, central or west Berkshire?
