My Daughter on 'The Trainer' Channel 9

Post by Winkie »

Sorry if this sounds like I'm blowing my own trumpet, but I'm so proud of my youngest daughter who appeared on 'The Trainer 5' on Channel 9 last night.

She is now through to the final 56, and will be training/competing again during the coming 3 weeks (almost daily), but I do not know when it will be televised next.

Here is a You tube link to last nights show, Kaela's appearance starts at 53:50 (starts with an interview with her and Mum at home, then live on stage)

Hope you enjoy, right now I cannot stop replaying it!

Good stuff.just to prove I watched it. What happens to the ornaments on the table half way through the interview?

Didn't notice that, will have to watch again now ! Did recognise her and her sister in the audience from playing/singing in Suay Vista one time. My wife was surprised she doesn't speak Thai.

Hi Pagey

Yes, both of the girls have played a Suay Vista a couple of times

My wife is Indonesian, and sadly we never gave the girls the opportunity to learn Thai, a mistake that we are trying to correct.

Nice one, Winkie! Just watched it with Mrs D-M (she surprised everyone when she said she didn't speak Thai - then again when she started singing in Thai! ). I had a little lump in my throat watching that - you must have been a complete wreck, man!

A charming and confident young lady.

Cracking performance Winkie, she's a real wee beauty!

Have to show the girlfriend this as she's a big Adele fan.

It is so nice to see a talented young person performing so naturally without some HiSo parent in the background urging her on. Well done young lady, your Parents are rightly proud of you!

Winkie, Kaela really is a great wee talent - you've every right to be proud of her.

Hopefully, we'll get a chance to see her in Hua Hin again, maybe when Paul for Souay Vista gets back!

Fair play for posting Winkie - and damn right to feel proud. Stunning voice for a 10 year old and a star for the future methinks....
