It's being widely reported, as mentioned above, that Mancini is on the way out at Man City and this guy is taking over. It's a strange one.....

And rightly so, you've won nowt for 8 years.
Do you have stiff neck from constantly looking up at the big boys? :)
I've glanced at you qualifying for a competition that we've actually won more recently than you've won anything.

Getting all uppity about coming 4th and qualifying for a competition you'll have a very small chance of winning is pretty detrimental.

You're the big boys yet we've been European Champions and lifted the FA and league Cup since you last lifted silverware?

That's not a pop at you, or Liverpool are great, more a summary of modern Football. Stick 4th up your hoop.

Got up to Bangkok last night and watched the last 60 minutes of the game.

So - we won - got a result - good 8)

BUT

For heavens sake, against 10 men with Adams conveniently getting himself sent off, I thought that we were lifeless. Adebayor did it again but we lack the consistent finishing power that we will need if The Arse slip up and CL does return to WHL.

Can't crow about the result at all...............

Glad Rooney got booed when he went up to collect his Premiership medal :guns: ship him off to Paris St.Germain,Chelsea or Man City or anyone else daft enough to pay big money for him.
If Wenger departs,as has been rumoured,it could well be that 5 out of the top 6 Premiership clubs have new managers next season.
Spuds did make hard work of it yesterday but had 20 goal attempts to Stokes 5......Stoke,a horrible team to play against.....Huth,Shawcross,Adam all nasty pieces of work.
Anyway, heres a couple of pics from yesterday for you all to savour....... :rasta:

Yes - huge respect but an old git nevertheless.

I just wonder how much influence he will have behind David Moyes...............

Thanks so much for that, Zidane.
There's definitely a lump in my throat.
I think it's a piece of last night's carrot.

I agree with you, Terry, but at this stage I really don't care about beautiful football. If by some chance we do manage to get 4th (and yes, BaaBaa, of course it's important!), then we can start thinking about who we've got, who we want rid of (bye bye, Adebayor) and who we want in. (But not Rooney, thanks.)

For what it's worth (and the number of games you win does rather depend on the team you have playing for you!) he appears to be 6th. If that is 6th of all Premiership managers since it started (200? 250?), then it's pretty good.

Man City is now a ?. They may not give a damn about their last two matches. Chelsea could end up second. Still plenty of suspense. Pete

Winning an FA Cup, the Premiership then finishing second is obviously not considered success by owners more used to using their wealth to get whatever they want. The Arabs, rich Americans and Roman Thingy are using their money for personal gratification or investment purposes without any thought of history or the fans.I know it is just money that talks now but that doesn`t mean we can`t look back on happier times when the fans were considered an integral part of a club which was often run by chairmen who lived locally and were lifelong fans.

Oh so true, but the days of football as a sport and family entertainment finished more than 20 years ago. Now it's all about Business Plans, CEO's, Football Directors, Finance Directors, Football agents, rather than the Chairman, Manager and players.
