For anyone who might be interested.........you'll usually find middle age and a few oldies playing chess outside the wet market in town, on the Petchasem side. I'm not sure whether you pay to play there, or if any betting goes on, but it seems as though it's just a matter of anyone sitting down for a game with whoever.

Thanks for all replies..I have seen men playing by the old market..Looks like draughts/checkers to me but not sure..
