I read somewhere that 80% of asian countries eat bugs and insects...the ones i have tried were fried in oil and i could of been munching down on anything, pretty sure most of the nutritional value was gone
I've tried some of the smaller ones like crickets and ants and have no problem with them, they're too small to taste of much anyway but I'm not so keen on some of the larger stuff that Thais tuck into.
I actually enjoy them as a snack or side dish to Isaan food
Never tried 'em with F&C or mince and mash

I mentioned on another thread that I usually buy the little grubs whenever chappy goes past. What can I say? ... I like 'em!
They're the one's at the front, third tray in from the left Mr Plum. Try them - you might like them. (most don't though )
My wife loves them so obviously I had to try. If this was the only food left for survival I would do it again.
The taste was acceptable and the nutrinal value well documented but......
I've eaten some or other dish made with ant eggs a few times and it tasted okay. Then again, so spicy it could have been anything and you'd be none the wiser. Tried a few other types of insects, and found them rather tasteless, so until doomsday arrives, I'll continue getting my protein from beef, pork, chicken and etc.
Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
To me it makes no difference how big or small or what type. All I taste anyway is the oil which I think is sesame oil mixed with regular cooking oil. Pete

Or the chemical that was sprayed on them to catch them.
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!
I'm reluctant due to the frying. Can't be doing the arteries much good.
Can be eaten raw real Isaan style
