CHAMPAGNE

Post by Neeeko »

My birthdays coming up and I’m thinking of treating myself. Where is a good place to eat that has champagne and how much for a bottle?

Sofitel. Good food. Bottle of moet is 10000. Bottle of dom is 23000.
Or goto mondo Vino and buy a nice bottle. Call the hotel and ask if can pay corkage. Usually 500 baht
Failing that. Get ya self a bottle of kava and goto Kim's kitchen.

CoCo 51. Half the price of the Sofitel and the food is 10 times better. Ambiance perfect too

The Palm Bistro .......same, same

Stay clear of hotels. Food is bland and prices inflated and usually full of ponces too

Do you really mean "Champagne" or would other sparkling wines also be suitable?

An average non-vintage Moet or Veuve will cost you between THB 3,900 and THB 4,300 - depending on brand and where you buy.
All available in Villa, and wine shops around town.

A reasonable 'sparkler' can be had for between THB 800 and THB 1200.

Plenty out there, just check them out.

I suggest you go down to MONDO VINO in Naebkhehars Road ( tel 084 9505437 ) and you will have all the choices and prices to suite your pocket.
