It's been interesting, hasn't it?!

There's still a few remaining loose ends to tie up - where will Carroll be next season, for one?

So yes, let battle recommence next August!

Best wishes to all - even the spud's!!

What a lovely end to the season :D :D

Can't decide what was funniest, AVB doing his Basil Fawlty impressions on the touchline, or the spuds fans celebrating a phantom Newcastle equaliser :?

Will BaaBaa and all us Spurs fans be happy this time next year? I doubt it somehow.

To start things off:

FA Community Shield Chelsea V Man City - Sun 12 Aug - 01:00
First post on this thread for the 2012-2013. Told you so, disappointed as usual. Well it was an easy statement to make with regards to Spurs 'Same is it every was' Over to you BaaBaa

Still sulking............

Advice to AVB
Sell Bale for the maximum you can get - then buy two or three other decent strikers.

I beg to disagree Terry.

Daniel Levy to raise more money, get the new stadium started and let AVB build his side around Bale. No more Carrick/Berbatov/Modric scenarios! We can be real players for the title!

[quote="dtaai-maai". No point either in congratulating Arsenal on their 4th place - because I would'nt mean it!

I :tsk:
I`m sure if the positions had been reversed my fellow Arsenal supporters would have said, jolly well played and good luck in the Champions League.

In the boring close season why don`t we have a sports quiz similar to the history and motoring challenges.
I`ll start off with an easy one.
Which is the only top-flight football club in Europe named after a multi-national corporation?

I think this is a good idea, but may be in a separate thread?

I agree with both suggestions. I'll start it now, with arcadian's question.
This is the way

Well - I see this differently.

It's no good relying on one 'superstar' - even if we can now keep him. One serious or prolonged injury and we are stuffed.

If we had the equivalent of Carrick, Berbatov and Modric talents in the side as of now, I'm sure that we would be better of.

Anyway it will be an interesting transfer season.

You're not getting it. Not one superstar. Superstars attract great players! mezzi is a superstar at Barcelona, Ronaldo at Real. Keep Bale to attract more class players, don't get rid as we should be thinking big not going backwards! Seems like the chairman also thinks that way -

'Looking ahead to the summer, we shall continue to seek to strengthen and improve the team and to retain key players. We also look forward to the return of Sandro and Younes who were missed this season but who are well on the road to full fitness.'

Obviously the Rooney,Nani,Bebe bit was a "load of bollocks" and a wind up......at least I hope so for your fragile mental state,Jimmy, but the thing is all the best players want to play in the Champions League and, unfortunately, the Spuds cant offer Bale that.
Spurs have got to offer Bale megabucks to stay otherwise I can see him departing to one of these six clubs in the close season.....Real Madrid,Paris St.Germain,Bayern Munich,Manchester City,Chelsea or Manchester United ( following in the footsteps of Carrick and Berbatov, maybe ?).
I'd put Real Madrid,Manchester City or Chelsea as the ones most likely, though.
