I agree BB but the rank and file BIB, very rarely, if ever, challenge a rich Hi So, unless they want to find themselves riding backwards on the back of a motor bike in the Southern provinces. The higher ranks (most of them) are less inclined to get involved, as they see themselves as equals to the Hi So's and when in or out of uniform, act just as badly.

I know that from personal experience, as FIL, was, until recently, one of them. He would think nothing of parking 3 deep, driving at double the speed limits, undertaking on the motorways and generally breaking all the rules of the road.
I don't think this attitude is limited to the rich alone, you only have to sit on any roadside and see that almost all Thais ignore the rules. TIT.
