OK you experts.....the wife bought a bottle of Heinz yesterday as she cooks up fish & chips or breaded cod from time to time. I can now envision seeing this bottle on the kitchen shelf for the next year seldom used.
What other dishes can this stuff be used with? Thanks. Pete

You can add it to sweet and sour chicken etc, palm sugar and vinegar make a good opposite mix. You can add all sorts of things but normally tomatoes and/or tomato purée and some corn flour to thicken, maybe some orange juice and some chilli if you want a bit of heat.
Back in the UK where i could get oxtails i always added a teaspoon of Malt vinegar to the water before slow boiling them makes the meat fall of the bone
If you insist on healthy contributions ( ), a few drops in the hot water for poaching eggs helps keep the eggs compact. (In the absence of an egg poacher of course...)
I like to use a bit of vinegar (malt or red wine varieties) on fresh salads, especially served with cold chicken. Usually with a few drops of Linghams chilli sauce (my favourite).

Any leftover vinegar is also great for cleaning windows and mirrors, using some ordinary newspaper as the cloth. However remember to save some of the newspaper for fish and chips
