Thanks to all for the kind posts.

Kaela moves onto the next level of the competition now. The final 56 have been moved into 14 groups of 4 kids. Starting from Wednesday, they now all have Singing and Dancing training every day with 1 of the 7 celebrity 'Trainers'.

If my understanding is correct, the 14 Teams compete to reach 7 Teams of 4, then it starts to get more 'cut-throat' as the 7 Teams then need to be whittled down to 7 individuals for the final round.

Will keep you posted for the next TV Schedule

Hi All

Just thought I'd keep you updated on Kaela's progress

She performed in a Live broadcast last Saturday night, and now has progressed to the final 14 contestants.

Here is the link...

Team Interview and Live Performance at 0.10:00, and Judging at 1:24:50

She will compete again this Saturday night (Live broadcast) on Ch 9 at 9:30. After this Saturday, only 7 will survive. It's getting seriously tough now. The ability and skill-level of the kids competing is truly amazing.

If you feel inclined, please feel free to post comments on the Youtube Link, or the Facebook site https://www.facebook.com/thetrainerfc.
I'm sure she'd really appreciate to have your the support and encouragement.

Will let you know what happens after this Saturday.

Thanks. Have been looking forward to this. Would also like to book her for a private party around mid-July. :naughty:

Probably a silly question, but do you, or anybody else, know where I find Channel 9 on cable TV? Or is it only available to the rich people?

Here is her performance on Saturday.

Sadly she did not progress through to the Final

She did a good job with a tough song

Good Luck to the others, I've seen the schedule for the remaining 7 competitors, and damn, its going to get tough for them!

Hi Big Boy

Channel 9 (sometimes called Modern 9) is one of the main MCOT Free to Air Channels. On UBC it is No.4 by default.

I'm no expert but a song more suited to her voice, like the first song you posted, would have seen her over the line.

Great experience for her and we all enjoyed it at home. Thanks for sharing this with the forum. :thumb:

Glad you enjoyed it Mr Plum. Yes, it was surely a tough song. The songs are selected by the Show Producers so its pot luck really.

She's not disappointed with her result, of course inside she was sad on Saturday, but it was a fun experience.

She'll certainly keep singing, and maybe you might see her on TV again. Not pushing her on the TV Competitive stuff, if she wants to do it, she can, we our support. If she's not interested that's fine too.

Can't say I agree with Mr P on many occasions, however have to agree on this that the song selected wasn't the best for Kaela - that of course certainly not saying she did not make a great attempt.

To get that far IMHO is quite frankly an incredible achievement anyway, and one which no doubt you must all be extremely proud. An undoubted talent, and one IMHO we will be seeing more of in the future.
