An amusing site!

Post by Siani »

I have always been fascinated by regional accents. This is an amusing site I found that translates phrases into regional accents. I have tried the Yorkshire and the cockney...it works well! :P

I`m glad you started this thread Siani because as a Westcountryman we speak the best English, where there is an "r" in the word we pronounce it, eg pork is pronounced with an R, Landanahs say poke and northerners say pawk. Goregeous becomes gojuss and gawjus, water becomes woatah and wawtah. There are of course many other examples. I`m sure you all agree with me. :run:

It was great lol! The Bristol accent is very difficult to mimic. It's sort of West country with a twist?? The Cardiff accent is similar, very difficult, I can not ever get it right even though I am Welsh.
