Sadly, it is very true for many (I was one of the many when it affected me).

I'm in the UK at the moment and it would seem that the Royal Family is as popular as it has ever been, even Charles seems to be more accepted these days than he was maybe 10-20 years ago.

It's pretty clear that William and Kate have given them a breath of fresh air, as will the birth of the new Prince.

Dannie Boy, I tend to agree. For many, many years I was quite ambivalent where the Royal Family were concerned but in later life I've become mildly pro monarchy. I can't put my finger on why or when my opinion changed but it could be something to do with a few of them now having "proper jobs" interspersed with their royal duties of course...
If it aint broke, don't fix it...

Homer, I`m sure we would take your country`s application seriously if you applied to join the British Commonwealth. You could then have a proper head of state.
