Coco Beach Club
Coco Beach Club
I haven't been there yet as it opens at 5 p.m., and I rarely go downtown after dark, but an interesting new restaurant/bar/music venue has opened up on Naresdamri road directly across from the Hilton. I was by there at lunch time and saw a double door that evidently leads to a large "hidden" club behind the adjoining businesses. It's called the Coco Beach Club and is billed as an upscale fresh seafood restaurant and night club with live music.
They have a web page and it looks and sounds expensive (no prices listed though), but also seems to offer an experience not found elsewhere in Hua Hin. I was told that the owner is the former owner of Bully's pub on Sukhumvit Road near Soi 4 in Bangkok.
Anyone been there?

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Not true, you were told wrong. Boss Hog still owns the place, but the long term manager did leave a few months back, so maybe it is him?I was told that the owner is the former owner of Bully's pub on Sukhumvit Road near Soi 4 in Bangkok

I finally make it to Coco Beach Club last night, had been meaning to stop in there before but finally made it.
It certainly has the "wow" factor going for it. It has a very impressive interior with a fun atmosphere and good setup. It has a rectangular bar in the middle and other seating around the sides.
Food menu is somewhat limited but everything looked good. I went with the hamburger sliders which were excellent and the presentation was first class.
This is a Bangkok style bar and in high season will give the Hilton a run for its money.
Last night there were probably 20-25 people in there at about 11 p.m. so it seems to be doing well.

Have eaten slow roasted ribs, Pirri Pirri Prawns, Roast duck confit, Roatsed sea bass, Sliders, Pasta and a few others, food is top drawer and prices are fair for what you get
Re: Coco Beach Club
Bottled beer prices are difficult to swallow, (120baht for leo) but really nice place, diiferent from the other bars, and decent food. Certainly nice to have such a place in our midst.

Re: Coco Beach Club
It is the former manager of Bully's, but he was also a co-owner before the partnership was dissolved and he came to Hua Hin. He was the managing partner and ever since he left the food and service at Bully's, from my last two visits and also from first hand opinions of friends I know who live in Bangkok has declined dramatically so I guess this guy was the one who actually monitored the quality. Even the clientele seems to have changed as a group of Nigerians seems to hang out in the pool table area now. It used to be a good place to take a family but I'm not sure now.Not true, you were told wrong. I finally checked out Coco Beach club. The decor is unlike anything I've seen in Hua Hin (or anywhere else to date). Besides regular bar stools, and tables, it has swings and swinging beds suspended by chains (or was it ropes?... I was there after a long day of drinking elsewhere) from the (high) ceiling. The menu is limited at the moment but may be expanded later as business demands and it's a bit on the expensive side, but well worth a visit as it is pretty unique. He has and extensive spirits, mixed drinks, beer, and wine menu. I had a Laphroiags single malt. I haven't seen this on offer anywhere else in Hua Hin.

Food is well worth the price HHF, you will love his slow roast ribs.. i promise .
Re: Coco Beach Club
gotta say the food is fantastic, also had a few beers there last night and leo was 100bt a bottle so similar to Click bar and way cheaper than hilton disco
good place to hang out away from the "bar" scene

Re: Coco Beach Club
We went there a couple of weeks ago (thanks to JW for the recommendation) and thought it was great, a real oasis in the otherwise uniform bars around the block. The decor is reminiscent of the secret garden bars of Milan that are usually only found in the company of locals who know which bland-looking door to push open. The colours are subtle pastels and neither the music nor TV is too loud that a decent conversation can't be had. Well worth a visit and I hope it does well so I may return time and again.

It will be interesting to watch. If it does as well as it deserves then other look-alikes will pop up.
Re: Coco Beach Club
maybe but the location takes some beating and the guy behind the kitchen really knows his stuff... and is terribly passionate about what he serves

I didn't say they would be good imitations, just imitations.

I'm coming to Hua Hin again at the end october and i will certainly give this place a try, it sounds right up my street. Was there any live music on when any of you guys went there? Is it on every night or just at weekends?
