That's a good one. The wife and her friends were forwarding it around a few days ago. Apparently it's gone viral here.....as it should. Pete

Yes, very touching. But why is True Visions running the clip as what appears to be an advertisment?
Or are they trying to imply that their 3rd rate TV service is some form of making merit?

Most astonishing for me is that a boy from a family that cannot afford a bottle of pain killers goes to university and becomes a doctor. Typical example of the Thai dream......

Yes, yes, but at least the ad shows that donating to temples isn't the only way to make merit. As I've often said before......if you're giving in the hope of receiving, then you aren't really giving in the first place. Instead, you're gambling.
Nice advert and if it only causes one person to give for the sake of giving, then it's done a great job.

I caught this on tv several times over the past days as I recover from my late-night holiday attributes and I gotta admit, as a soon to be alcoholic Glaswegian I was deeply touched by it's inner message, but don't actually know what it has been developed to encourage people to do ? Didn't Charles Dickens do something like this with PIP ? Where the boys upbringing was paid for by a secret benefactor ? or maybe I'm not a soon to be alcoholic Glaswegian, but a done deal in that department.
