Have just returned to Thailand on 60 day tourist visa, need to do visa run mid next month.
I am looking to obtain marriage visa,
Any suggestions as to Cambodia or Laos, which are the best options.
On the Cambodia Thai embassy website they do not state that you have to show Thai bank account,I have Australian bank account which shows my pension payments but no Thai account as yet
Laos states that you must show funds?.
Not sure where would be the best to try.

Re: Marriage Visa/Cambodia or Laos?
Barry I too are looking into obtaining my Non 'O' visa in the Far East now Hull in the UK (& many other places, K.L. included) are demanding proof of funds before issuing me the very same visa I've been granted annually for my 12 yrs of marriage to my Thai wife.
I have looked on many Forums, & as yet no-one can confirm that indeed Cambodia or Laos issue these visas without proof of savings.
IF I do see anything of a positive nature..I will indeed tell you... Best wishes U.S.

Re: Marriage Visa/Cambodia or Laos?
After a recent visit back to the UK, I'm not 100% up-to-date on the latest requirements in the region. However, before I went, Savannaket seemed to be fairly relaxed but whether it is now after the clampdown on consulates, I'm not sure.
I assume you're both talking about a multi-entry Non O visa obtained on the basis of marriage to a Thai - there's no such thing as a "marriage visa"? These visas have become increasingly difficult to get from neighbouring countries without proof of funds for some time. However, single entry Os were OK as long a you produced the marriage certificate together with copies of your wife's ID card and tabien bahn. A letter from her requesting the visa for you to be with her was also useful. All documents to be signed and dated by her.
That also may have changed. I'll do some digging and see what I can find. Sorry I can't be more positive at the moment. Hopefully, there will be no requirement to remit funds to Thailand (min 40k per month) for the visa as that isn't a requirement for the annual extension - you just need to show that you have the overseas income and that's evidenced by a letter from your Embassy. Savings (400K) also didn't need to be in a Thai bank account for the visa but do have to be for annual extensions.
