I too was at Sea-Sun yesterday. Great location and atmosphere. One of the main reasons to live in Hua Hin is because of the beach, and I could not understand why there were not more (any) western style places on the beach to have a beer and food.
Well, now there is finally a destination place at the beach that has a real bar (small) and tables and chairs to enjoy good western food and some beer.
Yesterday was the grand opening and the hours were 11-4, but Oat told me that from now on the hours will be 9am-5pm.
I purchased 6 beers and 2 cokes and the bill was 460 baht, so it is certainly not expensive.
Sea-Sun Restaurant
Re: Sea-Sun Restaurant
Where exactly on the beach is it?
Re: Sea-Sun Restaurant
You go down Soi 77, take the path to the left of the small river.
Lovely location, great food and Oats famous Pizzas! IMHO he does the best in Hua hin!
I'm sure this place will be a big success, I don't think I'll be bothering to go all the way to Takieb anymore for a nice piece of quiet beach and good food.

Irritating opening hours, but hope it does well
Re: Sea-Sun Restaurant
9 to 5? Maybe an hour longer would be good but generally people don't sit on the beach after dark so I can understand the early closing if that's what you mean.Irritating opening hours, but hope it does well
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

His main business in 80 probably needs his attention during the peak hours in the evening

If it's a bar then yes, people do sit out on the beach after dark - though the average clientel may be a bit more rowdy and unpredictable as the night goes on.hhfarang wrote:9 to 5? If it's a resteraunt.... well every single hotel resteraunt along the beach seem to be open at night, and have a lot more people dining in evening times than they do during the day.
Re: Sea-Sun Restaurant
Thanks for the directions. Will try it when I come over in December
