Mermaid Cruises win Sustainable Development in Tourism Award

I've just learnt that forum sponsor, Mermaid Cruises has won the 2013 International Sustainable Development in Tourism (SDIT) prize in the Transportation Category awarded by Skal International.

Mermaid Cruises has been a leader in development of solar powered vehicles such as the Suncat1 pictured above.

Well done Barry, and the Mermaid team. It's good to see that sustainable tourism is being recognised. Agree with all of the above - Barry's trips are the most memorable and enjoyable excursions we've had in Thailand. Great fun for expats and visiting friends.
