Coco Beach Club
Re: Coco Beach Club
I have eaten here a few times and last night went back with my family.
Ordered 4 dishes, steak, fajitas, nachos and spare ribs. The food took a while, as a few of the staff were off sick including ET himself. As usual all the dishes were excellent, the spare ribs are the best I have eaten for a long time, they just fell off the bone.
It's a bit pricey compared to other places but the food is excellent so it's well worth it.

Re: Restaurant News
Had another stunning meal at Coco Beach Club on Thursday night - Seasoned poached Dory roulade, vegetable ragu and beur blanc... seriously great food - food is always top drawer... but everytime I have seafood its a real knockout

Re: Coco Beach Club
went last night and just had a snack of chicken liver pate, right up there with the best I have ever had- they told me it was home made too
Re: Coco Beach Club
We finally tried to go for dinner last Friday and were turned away as the entire place was rented out for a private party. They are having a Thanksgiving buffet tonight by the way.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

High prices may be one factor
Re: Coco Beach Club
Were they high prices ? You get what you pay for - the bar was a breath of fresh air in a town of crap beer and very average food !!
However having said that the food given its superb quality was very cheap for what it was - I don't know how he managed to make a profit on it.

Then it's quite possibly you already know why they closed. I really do t know them well but, it's a very competitive market with a very short high season. If their prices and costs are were not aligned they would have faced major problems.

Prices were high, but the quality was excellent. So here is the question --Is there a big demand for high quality/high priced food. I suggest you go to the Soi 88 night mkt and see the multitude of expats happily eating their 100b dinners
Re: Coco Beach Club
Love the night market....will be going there in early April (I have 5 nights) but will no doubt spread the $ around all sorts of venues including the expensive ones.oakdale160 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2017 10:20 pm Prices were high, but the quality was excellent. As was suggested - it might work in high season but may struggle when only the HH regulars are in attendance.
