That must be a British thing. I've never heard of a "turkey crown" in the U.S. In fact, I don't think it would be popular there as most people like some dark meat. I remember people fighting over who would get the drumsticks (legs) at holiday dinners. The turkey in your photo appears to still have wings attached. I'm with you HHF on the legs - the best tasting meat on the bird, but in the UK the Crowns have become more fashionable with the younger generation as they are easier to carve and many people prefer the white meat from the breast. As for the wings, I guess they are something in between white and dark meat, but normally very tasty and as it's me doing the carving, I always make sure I get somehhfarang wrote:That must be a British thing.
