Get an article have a competing translator translate it into French or German. Give it to another translator and have it translated back into English and the meaning will be very close.
Try the same with any Asian language and the difference will be huge,

Yes, they have a long way to go before they become really useful for translating Asian languages. I sometimes have to use them to try to get my Thai girlfriend to understand what I am trying to say, and for simple things they are OK, but completely useless if you want to translate more complex sentences and meanings. She has gotten some good laughs of what I really have been saying sometimes! ;-)

Facebook uses Bing as a translation engine and it's even worse if that's possible. Pete :cheers:
