Smorbrod (scandanavian open sandwiches) emergency!!
Smorbrod (scandanavian open sandwiches) emergency!!
Help.
As I'm 25% Norwegian, I have always ordered a selection of smorbrod from The Admirals Pub (down from the Post Office) to eat at home on the 24th December.
Have just been by to order it and the restaurant has gone. Apparently, the place has been in the process of conversion for 3 months now. Shows how observant I am!!
So, we're stumped for the 24th unless anyone can suggest where I might be able to get a selection of open sandwiches to take away on the 24th. If there is anywhere, it really needs to be in town due to transport issues.
Alternatively, we'll try and make some ourselves but I could do without all the shopping.
Thanks for any suggestions.

As Admiral's was a Danish restaurant you could maybe ask another Danish establishment, Jailhouse Restaurant in Chomsin Road if he can help you out?

Hi Lomu,
It might be an idea to contact Terrace 90.
They have a Scandinavian deli section and also cater for a lot of Norwegians.
Maybe they can put something together for you.

Thanks for that, barrys. I'm going to try the restaurant on Poonsuk first and will head down there shortly.
Can't think exactly where it is but that's not exactly a long stretch of road.

The Jailhouse Guest House and restaurant has them according to the online Hua Hin Butler menu.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Call me an old cynic, but most new members introduce themselves in a general sort of way, then start getting into the specifics of the forum, while every now and then, just as a new bar or restaurant opens up, along comes a brand new member with just one gem of wisdom to share with us and nothing else...
This is the way
