Legal advice

Post by ozspearo »

Hi all,

I have a couple of friends (Thai nationals) living in HH who are both business owners. They have had problems with a man who is from the US (and is a registered sex offender) who has attacked one of them and had verbal altercations with the other. They seem reluctant to report the incidents to the police, but I am concerned this guy is going to escalate things with them.

Can someone suggest the best way forward for them? I have told them to go to the Police but I have little knowledge of the effectiveness of the HH police force, or their attitude towards unruly farangs like this guy who seems to be causing problems and hasn't changed his ways since leaving the US.

I am living in Australia and therefore unable to deal with the issue the way I want to, so I'm trying to find a suitable solution for the women within the local law.

Cheers.

How do you know he is a registered sex offender? They are respectable business owners - why are they reluctant to go to the police? Sorry, but this is your first post and we've heard this sort of accusation before; there is always the possibility of a hidden agenda.

But assuming your question is genuine and the facts are as stated, the only advice is the obvious advice - go to the police, press charges, and if he's a registered sex offender he'll be deported.
This is the way

I am sure Thai business owners would know how to deal with this matter, so, once again; :troll:
