I use my local butchers in the village where I live to buy roasting meets and steaks. Their pork is fantastic, but then its locally sourced and there are many free-range 'piggery's' in the area!

I make my own but usually don't get to eat much of it because my kids love the stuff, and unfortunately so does does my wife, thanks to her having lived over in SA with me for a year and a half. :laugh:

I agree with the poster on the previous page that good beef is available in Thailand. I've directly compared a bite of two fillets from a Thai-French local beef company and an imported Australian fillet. This was a blind taste test as the restauranteur wanted to know my opinion and I picked the local Thai fillet as the best tasting. It was offered at a much lower price so I was delighted.

Of course it is up to individual taste and opinion but I've had what I consider good local steaks at Terrace 90, Natta's (mentioned above, now gone), and All Seasons downtown (across from the Hilton).
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Yes I agree HHF. I've also had a few good steaks (Thai) at the restaurant in Takiap that's built in the shape of a boat. I forget the name now, and it's been ages since I was last there, but in the past their steaks were great value for money and also very tasty.

Not sure if it was in this Forum/Topic, but recall recently seeing mention of a wholesale meat supplier with large cold storage in the Cha Am area... Can someone point met to the area?

The Wagyu steak I recently had at Banyan was without doubt the best I've ever had in Thailand and most other places I've visited. Not cheap but well worth shelling out 590baht every now and then.

Buffalo Bill's at the bottom of Chomsin Road near the piers has been selling a decent wagyu rump steak in various weights for the past 6 months. Recommend the 500g as have had this numerous times and never been disappointed.

Does it have an English label on it stating how much fat it contains? :twisted:
