My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

On a (very) brief read-through, it's a little unclear whether they're talking about general water consumption per head of population (almost impossible to measure accurately in this country, surely) or water consumption for agricultural/industrial purposes.

I do agree that it's ridiculously cheap - our water bill last month was 70 baht. I wouldn't mind paying more if I thought it would contribute to improving the infrastructure. It wouldn't, so I'll stick with what we've got for now.

I really hate the idea though that some nebulous world body slaps a trade barrier on a country for using its own water resources which would otherwise flow into the sea? :banghead: Try to do that to the bigger boys listed above Thailand and they'll laugh at the concept. Pete

I think that depends where you stay. We stay up soi 6 so water costs us 300 baht every two days because we have to get it trucked in. We do have a mains supply but have not had water for nearly a year now. :banghead: :banghead:
