Sorry, I can't remember the names. I ordered from the photos on their menus which look exactly like the dish after delivery. All three times I ate Swedish food. One was bite sized bits of steak, one was a ground beef pattie covered with a mushroom gravy, one was a dish that consisted of bite sized chicken and bananas in a gravy or sauce.

All came with fried (soft, diced, spiced... not like french fries) potatos and all were excellent.

The chicken and banana one sounds strange or it did to me but it was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted. I recommend that one for your first visit.

Swedish people can probably name these dishes from the description.

Here's what I had in the order that I recommend them as far as I can figure out from their online menu... it includes the menu number and the price:

26. Flying Jacob
Chicken, bacon and bananas in cream sauce. Served with rice. Mine was served with fried, soft, spiced (with mustard?) potatos instead of rice and they were excellent. I highly recommend this dish at 149 baht.

30. Salisbury steak
200 g. Salisbury steak with fried onion, mushroom sauce and fried potatoes. 199 baht.

23. Diced beef with fried potatoes and raw egg yolk, 299 baht

All were very good!

After I went to this place several years ago they closed for a while (I think because the owner also had a restaurant in Sweden running in tandem), but I went there today again and the restaurant has been remodeled and the menu has been expanded. It is still mostly Swedish and Thai, but the food is incredibly good. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Good prices on everything considering the quality as well as good prices on wine by the glass and draft (Chang) beer.

Try it, you won't be dissappointed... on the last western side Soi before the Market Village driveway coming from the south.... also accessable from Soi 94 down the back.

Went to Cajutan yesterday afternoon,, about 3pm (in a bit of a sad mood). The place was empty so I almost didnt bother going in, then i heard the staff eating their lunch infront of the TV. Sat down and waited a what seemed like an age to be noticed.. I could have shouted but they were still eating... Ordered the special which was friend potatoe, lingonberry, bacon plus a water. Food was ok. Some salt and pepper would have made the day but while i was eating they had both disappered!

I think that the restaurant is much better than my experience and i will go again - if I were tourist or difficult they would never see me again. Will take a group next time, early evening and I just know in my bones it will be great.

I reckon they should cose in teh afternoon and let their staff have their siesta :).

Think the same people own Montri beside Mai Tai.... really good pizza there!

I went this week and I agree about the food, the owner, the setting and the Chang draft but I have to disagree about the price of a glass of wine HHF, 127 Baht for a glass of Mont Clair, even in the town centre I have never paid more than 100 Baht as far as I am aware.

Edit : For those who like to eat early they have daily specials until 4 pm, usually 199 Baht I believe.
