I don't go for the drinks nor the women, but Angie's Bistro makes one of the best plates of Liver and Onions I've ever had.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Pork liver though, right? I've asked in various places throughout Thailand for calves liver and have been told "never...impossible...crazy...price would be astronomical...". I guess to have calves liver you need a market for veal and none here IMO. Pete

I also prefer lambs liver to pigs, but again here in Thailand I'm sure it's a no no, or very expensive.

^ I've never heard of nor considered lambs liver. If I ever make it to somewhere that has it like Oz or NZ, I'll give it a try. Does the UK have it and home grown, or imported? Pete

At least half a dozen places do it but as posted it is Pork liver. Tried many but Barry at Victoria 2 up soi 80 can't be beaten IMO. Not sure if he still does it but knowing Barry he will serve up whatever you want if you ask him in advance

They used to do it in Crawfords Cha Am. Should be able to get the liver in Makro. Certainly can get lambs liver. Whatever you do do NOT overcook it!

Made me hungry now HHF

One of my favorites back in Ireland, Pete - lamb's liver is absolutely delicious.
I spent some of my childhood on a sheep farm - sheep farming is very widespread in the west of Ireland, and also in Wales and Scotland as far as I know

Prefer pigs liver to lambs I also like to dip it in flour before frying.
Up in Surin I have BBQ calves liver it's quite strong but very tasty the only downside is it was more expensive than beef.
On our ten day trip to Surin this year didn't see beef or liver for sale anywhere.

Kendo.

I think today I am going to have liver and onions for dinner.

Lambs liver is widely available in all parts of the UK and no doubt each area will claim that it's liver is the best, but IMO much nicer (not so strong) than pigs liver, although probably a bit more expensive.
As Kendo says, dip it in flour before frying and as well as with onions, many people also like it served with fried/grilled bacon. Making me feel hungry!!

Bacon side note...no need for new thread. Tried below and it really works. Some bacon here in Thailand is not from the best cuts but cooking this way works really well and produces a superior result.

EDIT: If this slides into a multi-post bacon discussion, I'll start a new thread. :D
