The bin man cometh

Post by dtaai-maai »

In the course of... well, never mind... I came across this video, which I'm hysterically pleased to share with you.

It seems there are people out there who catalogue waste disposal trucks and film them in operation for our delectation.

Unless you are mindbogglingly bored, I can't recommend that you give too much of your time to watching the video, but do take a moment to check out the comments on Youtube...

It was perhaps made as a sanitary engineer's handbook?

"Waste Management Engineers" or "Sanitation Engineers" to be politically correct are very well paid in the U.S.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I just loved Lonnie Donegan. I had the good fortune of meeting him when he played Scandinavia with Chris Barber´s Jazzband many years ago. After Chris Barber he took up Skiffle music. He was Europe´s leading skiffle musician and made a number of popular recordings.

Ah well, much more here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lonnie_Donegan

Paul McCartney (Sir, mind you), dug him out from forgetness some years back and financed an LP with Lonnie. Unfortunately it didnot sell very well. Lonnie Donegan died in 2011.
