Thai billionaire agrees Reading FC takeover
June 14, 2014 4:37 pm

A Thai billionaire has signed a deal to become the new owner at Reading FC. After two days of talks at Madejski Stadium, an agreement was penned earlier Saturday afternoon.
The news brings to and end a ownership saga which has plagued Royals for almost a year following the disappearance of Anton Zingarevich.

Reading’s new owner, as yet unnamed, will now have to undergo the Football League’s fit and proper persons test before the takeover is confirmed.

The club are, however, expected to make some sort of announcement in the coming days.

Let's see if this 'billionaire' keeps it for a few months and then sells it at a huge profit to the arabs. It's been done before!!!

I think its the same guy who owns Police United in the Thai Premier League.
They have just signed Anton Ferdinand and rumour has it they are after Kieran Richardson,as well.

Not sure Reading will ever provide a return. At least not in the way City did, for obvious reasons.

Fulham lost their first after what seemed a very good pre-season. A win next week is critical for morale and a host of other things. Is Felix Magath really that good.....we shall see?

The owner doesn't seem to think so anymore

. . . and just to be sociable . . .

To be fair, I think both were poor appointments.
Still plenty of time though for a new manager to turn things round.

^ For that to work I'd have to support until they were near rock bottom then leave, and they would shoot into the top 3.

Now then, who's this new owner of Reading? She must be the first Thai since Thaksin and ManC to own a football league club.
