Money Changers
Does anyone know of any money changers here in HH that offer a better rate than the banks? I have used one in Pattaya but have never come across one here.

Re: Money Changers
I would like some info on this too. Are there money changers in Hua Hin or do I need to go to the banks? If so, are there any money changers/banks near the Hilton?
thanks in advance for your help.

Their are many Money exchanging places in Hua Hin but opposit the Hilton you will get one or two baht less for Pound sterling ATM's now from March charge one hundred and eighty Thai Baht per transaction.

If you walk the square from Petchkasem Road turn left at the traffic lights where the police station is and then left again into Naresdamn Road (where the Hilton is) and up to Chomsin road and turn left back up to Petchkasem, you'll probably find about ten money changers. I doubt that the rate will vary by even half a Baht to the £1, if you've got nothing better to do then go for a stroll, but if not just find the nearest one.kendo wrote:Their are many Money exchanging places in Hua Hin but opposit the Hilton you will get one or two baht less for Pound sterling ATM's now from March charge one hundred and eighty Thai Baht per transaction.

I think the OP means one of these Chinese money changers. Like you find in Pattaya sitting at a desk in the back of a shop selling for instance antiques or whatever. There are no signs. You have to know where to go. One would expect this service to be available in Hua Hin as well. Best way to find one is probably asking a Thai business man who receives regularly larger amounts of foreign currency. He will know where to go.

That's what we use in BKK. The wife just commented last night that we didn't plan a stay in BKK on arrival so no time to use them. If one in Hua Hin that would be greatRoel wrote:I think the OP means one of these Chinese money changers.
