It was a quiet afternoon, so we went down to Market Village look at the Halloween Party. Everything was set up just inside the entrance to Market Town. Apart from it being a typical 'late starting' Market Village event, my wife and I enjoyed it.

Many of the kids were very well made up, and there were some excellent costumes. Here are a few of the photos I took:

It is amazing that 10 years ago it was difficult to find even one kid out Trick or Treating anywhere in Thailand. The custom has now certainly been embraced and not hard to see why, with Thai fondness for the ghoulish......and simply an excuse to have a party and a good time, and this year it's on a Friday which makes things better! Pete

Was there an overall winner of the competition? If so, I do hope that No.6 won it, and that the girl with the tudtoo strapped to her front came second.

Yes, we liked the girl with the Tokay (tudtoo) strapped to he chest. If you look at the photos of her on stage, she had a smaller one with blood dripping in her mouth also. My other favourite was no. 8 - her make-up was fantastic, although probably not apparent in a 2D photo.

Unfortunately, it was running over 90 minutes late, so we had to leave before the winner was announced. I'll let you know as soon as it is published.

VS, I'm confused regarding the winner

I have found a very short video showing the prize winners, which I have put onto You Tube. The girl who is holding the cheque for the greatest amount of money, so I guess she won, doesn't appear in any of my photos - TIT.



Incidentally, it seems Market Village had a major out immediately afterwards, so photographs were limited.

He did look good, and it was obvious his parents had spent a bit of cash on the suit, but I'm puzzled - my photos do not do the outfit justice . Were you there?
