Options for visa run flights

Post by NOKYAI »

I'm going to need to fly out and fly back to get the number of days I need this trip. What are people's reccomendations? Want to take the G/F and her new passport, somewhere interesting but not costing a fortune.

Penang would be my pick. Much varied cultures.... and no fee for Malaysia entry.

Why fly when you've got time here for a spell? Take the train to Penang. The train journey alone is a mini holiday and when in Penang spend a few days exploring the old colonial town and surrounds. I thoroughly enjoyed it but it was 10 years ago so mat have changed

Hi Richard, my stay this trip is about 110 days, so I thought about doing a 30 day extension then flying out for a trip, then doing the same again. Or I could just bite the bullet now I'm 50 and get a 'retirement' visa as I brought 6 months of pay slips as proof of income. The problem is my timing is rubbish and I would have to travel between Christmas and new year which is a pain.
