Anyone know what the word "slipped" means in Thai?
The painted white line in front of the guy in red is where the nose wheel of the aircraft should be! Some "slip"!

Re: Khon Kaen airport reopens
Having flown that route many many times there is no such thing as a taxiway at KK airport. The aircraft is pushed out from it's stand onto the apron and then the aircraft taxi's up the runway, turns, lines up and powers up for takeoff. My own theory is that the pilot was in a bit of a rush and turned the plane too quickly and ended up in the dirt.

^^^^^^ Yes, that is correct. But the single runway has extended turning side aprons at both ends. The nosewheel guide line is clearly marked, but I don`t believe it has center lights, just edge lighting.
Maybe the pilot should be sent to an "inactive post" for his sins!
