A more pressing concern would be what if it goes down while you're in it!

A man in the Dutch city of Amsterdam has been injured after a pop-up public toilet sunk into the ground emerged unexpectedly.

The man was hit by a moped which was thrown up in the air as the so-called UriLift toilet suddenly rose up.

He is being treated in hospital for minor injuries.

The toilets are a feature of central areas of Amsterdam, emerging at night to deter people from urinating in the streets.

Witnesses nearby reported hearing a loud bang at the time of the accident.

One man tweeted an image of the aftermath, writing: "Literally just walked past this explosion about two minutes before. Feeling lucky."

It is not clear what caused the incident.

Results of an investigation are due after the weekend.

When a feel good headline turns into a very dissappointing story...

"Monkey runs into burning house to rescue his goose friend"

By Coconuts Bangkok December 2, 2014 / 11:46 ICT

"Showing true courage and with his heart bursting with love for his feathered friend, a monkey chained to a tree in Chonburi broke free from his shackles and ran into a burning house to rescue a goose.

Sadly, Michael the monkey and Samlee the goose were both cruelly burned alive in the fire. The interspecies pair had become best friends as pets of 44-year-old human Somsak Puangchang.

A bolt of lightning struck a steel pillar inside the house and started the fire that burned down the home of the two animals and Somsak in Chonburi province yesterday morning.

Before the fire, Somsak said he had chained Michael the monkey to a coconut tree while the goose Samlee was inside as Somsak left his home unattended.

After firefighters put out the fire, they found Michael and Samlee dead in the bathroom.

Somsak is convinced Michael the monkey entered the burning building in a desperate attempt to rescue his friend.

The damage to the house was estimated at THB1 million.

Somsak said he will bury the two animals together under the coconut tree, Michael's favorite hangout spot, Thairath reported."

Thanks HH Farang, that story had
all the plot need for a Hollywood movie.
If you have seen the recent movies, they are all about
the start of the movies of the last few years to 20 years
ago, as the writers are out of new story plots, and material.

No, it's not April 1st......

Bounce to work on the world’s longest open air trampoline

Commuters may soon be able to get to work on the world’s longest urban trampoline

Squeezing onto a cramped Tube in the early hours of the morning can be hell, but bleary-eyed commuters could soon have a bit more fun getting to work.
Plans to create the world’s biggest open air trampoline along a street in central London have been unveiled.
The bounce to work route, backed by Transport for London (TfL), could be installed in the capital next year.
“The Bounceway will be the world's longest urban trampoline,” said a TfL spokesperson.
“This iconic and inclusive new public space in the heart of London will boost fitness and fun, and provide a novel form of transport where the journey is the main event.

“The trial will be part-funded by a crowdfunding campaign set to launch in late 2014.”

Nod off in front of Christmas TV? This wristband will record your favorite show when you doze,

According to research fathers are the most likely to doze off in front of the TV

After indulging on a huge turkey dinner and a few glasses of sherry - around one in five of us are expected to nap on the sofa this Christmas.

Bitter woman cuts off husband's penis . . . twice

Post by gohlingyaw »

A Chinese woman cut off her husband's penis as payback for an affair, and repeated the feat after the organ was sewn back on, Chinese media reported.

Investigators determined that the appendage of a 32-year-old man surnamed Fan had "completely disappeared" following December attacks in the central province of Henan, government-owned media outlet HNR said.

Fan's wife, who was not named in the report, took the radical step of chopping off his penis after she found out he was in a relationship with a 21-year-old woman.

Fan "rushed to a hospital" after the incident, and doctors re-attached his penis. But his wife crept into a ward as he slept to claim the organ again.

The two subsequently clashed outside the facility, with a naked and bleeding Fan repeatedly beating his wife, until onlookers called the police.

Pictures posted online said to be of Fan showed a nude man dragging a fully clothed person over a road.

Doctors and onlookers searched for Fan's penis but were unable to locate it, the report said. Fan's wife suffered from a mental illness and had been detained by police, it added.

Fan was transferred to another hospital where doctors operated on him for an hour, the report said.

He later recovered his health, but was in "an unstable mood, and very upset", it said.

The double attacks appeared to have strengthened the romance between Fan and his mistress, surnamed Zhang, with the two deciding to marry.

Zhang was quoted as saying: "It doesn't matter if he turns out to be infertile, he has five children anyway."
