As I speak it appears the real part of the storm has reached Rayong, after only having 1 squall overnight. Really coming down and windy. Pete

This thing is really breaking to bits now. This is probably the last photo, as by tomorrow it won't be a tropical storm and the weather service will drop it. Regardless, I've gotten a good bit of rain over the last 36 hours here in Rayong. I hope you folks over there get something out of it as probably the last storm for a few months. Pete

If wondering why the weather services are predicting 20mm+ of rain on Thursday, it's because of the cloud blob currently just east of south Vietnam and Cambodia on the link. Pete

I just wish I had your problems with the heat!
I am already longing for hot temperatures, and I won't
see rain until Spring in May! But I shant complain because today it
got up to -3C, and that's pretty good for Frozen Calgary

I got out of bed to see a smattering of rain but not much, enough to dampen the grass and that's all.
Now it is drought, sun and winter temperatures for a few months.
It does not matter where you come from, it's where you are going that matters.

We must be luckier where we are because after so many false alarms of expecting rain, we finally got a series of quite heavy downpours early this morning, however other than maybe again over the next few days, that'll be it for the next six months :(

Quite often the approaching rain clouds hang a left or a right depending on where they're coming from and dump nearer to Cha Am than Hua Hin

For Nereus and Richard, could it be a bit of an effect from the Global Warming that we are
all hearing about? This climate change stuff is supposed to be mucking up all
the weather patterns and sending the frontal systems into areas north and south of
their usual tracks. Then some blame gets put on the nasty El Nino's and La Nino's
somewhere on the planet. Ha, Ha, just joking I have no clue as to why you
poor people of Hua Hin, Cha Am and those areas are having rain or no rain.
Could be worse, Think Snow!
