There was, at 8 pm, lasted for ten minutes, at the Royal Palace grounds.
A magnificent demonstration in the art of pytecnics. Could be seen all over Hua Hin.

Saw them from my 9th floor balcony. Looked spectacular despite being a long way from them

If you missed it, it will be on YouTube soon enough. Not the same I know. Here is last year's (mods I don't know how to embed YouTube clips on the pad, please advise). I'm sure it was a humdinger of a show this year.

Yes last years were spectacular and IMO went on longer than the display tonight. Of course he was here to see them so that may be a factor. Next year will be the big one as he will be 88 and that is purported to be a Chinese/Thai lucky number.

Shame he did not appear in his scheduled audience today and I know some friends of mine from Khon Kaen who had travelled down specially for a glimpse of him will inwardly be disappointed. Must be some time now since he was seen in public...........

I hope the Kings birthday was a good one for everyone. If I am really lucky maybe I will be there
in early December of 2015 or for certain 2016.
I would like to see the lights and all the activities of this time of year. I would rather have the beach
view instead of the WCO view.
