I have to agree with the following. Some of the "pretties" should be wearing a card with the address of the clinic that fitted them out with silicone attachments! A lot of them would also be more attractive with a bag over their head! But I guess not many of the gawkers are looking at their faces! ( and that is NOT me in the wheelchair! :rasta: )

Another lot that caused the walkways to be completely blocked, would be more at home in a Patpong bar.
Nothing against pretty girls, but this is plain BS!

Some people visit the Motor Expo to learn about the latest cars, or even buy them. Others, mainly men young and old, go there to check out the doll-like model presenters. The expo continues at Impact Challenger, Muang Thong Thani, until Dec 10, 2014

The display of motorbikes is really impressive. A lot of them are mounted up on stands so the punters can sit up on them without having them fall down. I guess it is an indication of progress in Thailand, as a few years ago big bikes were rare here, and never shown at a motor show.

There was a nice Triumph Bonneville, which I think is a restored machine, as they also had one of the new models on display.

Picking up on your comment about MG cars, I saw a new MG showroom on the main Petchkasem road heading into HH from Cha Am - can't quite remember where it was and whether it is yet open, so will look again next time I'm on the road.

Yes, the quality of the pretties appears to be inferior per the photos as compared to past years. A bit tread bare and sloppy paint job. Let's hope under the bonnet has been checked and well serviced. :duck:

Disgusting! These things are made in China, although some of the development work was done in the UK. The units sold in the UK are from CKD kits.

I read somewhere that they are going to manufacture these things in Thailand, maybe already are. :guns:

Motor show bookings increase

http://www.bangkokpost.com/auto/news/44 ... s-increase

Kwanchai Paphatphong is quite happy with car bookings at the country's main annual motor show this year despite the number falling short of its target. :?

The president of Inter-Media Consultant Co, organiser of the 31st Thailand International Motor Expo from Nov 29 to Dec 10 at Impact Muang Thong Thani, expected vehicle bookings to top 50,000 during the 12-day event, with 1.5 million visitors and 54 billion baht in circulation.

But the expo reported bookings of 44,972 vehicles, 1.38 million visitors and estimated money circulation of 52 billion baht.

Toyota posted the top orders at 7,830 cars, followed by Honda at 6,719, Nissan 4,318, Isuzu 4,227 and Mitsubishi 4,196. For luxury cars, Mercedes-Benz secured 1,414 orders and BMW 965.

Orders for premium and big bikes jumped to 2,718, up by 29.4% from last year's event. Honda led with 548, followed by British Triumph at 497 and Kawasaki with 241.

Passenger cars made up 57.1% of total bookings, with sport-utility vehicles (SUVs) at 17.8%, pickup trucks 17.7% and others 7.4%.
