My missus just used her wifi only Ipad ap called facetime tethered to her nieces cell for a wifi hotspot from the village in Issan to do a voice and video call to her daughter in California. Seriously, this village is on the Mekong across from Laos so far back in the jungle they nearly have to pipe daylight in and only recently got a mobile signal from True and the video and voice call to the other side of the world was perfect. Half the village was standing around thinking it was magic or vodoo or something. Even I was impressed.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

This Connection is Untrusted

Post by malcolminthemiddle »

Recently I have been getting the error message "This Connection is Untrusted" when trying to log onto a number of web sites including facebook and google using Firefox. This is a relatively new phenomenon and I was wondering if a virus had managed to cross my McAfee fire wall. Any ideas anyone?

I got the same message a couple a weeks ago,I have a true internet connection.
It say that my instalation was default set up so I need to change the pssword in my router because it was to easy to pass, since many routers have the same passwords ass default ect.0000 or 1234 so you have to go and change it which you must go and find a internet side who can guide you through it,.
It's different from routers so can't help you with that.
Good luck

I've not had that specific problem, but have found that Firefox is crashing quite often. Also getting regular messages about Firefox having blocked Adobe Reader. Not sure what all that's about but I can't open most attachments.

Also having problems with Firefox, upgraded to 34.0.5 but still very slow and it uses a ton of memory. Disabled all plugins except the maligned Adobe Flash one so it must be that. Expect an update soon.

I have wanted to write this post for weeks but am embarrassed. I have NEVER downloaded a movie, no idea how to do it, I,ve read a couple of sites but they all assume that I know more than I do, what is a torrent for example. Does anybody have the time and patience to tell me how to start

Can't access The Nation or Bangkok Post websites

Post by hhinner »

Anybody else having problem accessing Nation and Bangkok Post websites? It's OK using ZenMate with Chrome but normal access doesn't work. Same on any device - phone, tablet, other computer. Other news sites are OK. I'm on 3BB.

Both work fine using TOT. Could be a DNS problem, which 3BB are prone to, have you tried changing your router DNS to Google's?

Hi Buksida. In fact DNS is returning the IP addresses OK. I tried Google (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) as you suggest. But same result.

I just restarted the router and the problem has disappeared. Weird. Problem over (but not solved).

Downloading pirated movies using a VPN

I've started getting my VPN account suspended for the above reason. I use StrongVPN and it is easily reconnected after explaining what you were doing. They receive the following message and then suspend your account until you provide an excuse/explanation.

^ I've had numerous similar warnings in the past, but what I have found is that (bizarrely) I don't get the problem for downloading movies/shows, it's when I share or "seed" ( ). Even now in the UK, I download a shed load of movies and shows, but stop Bittorrent sharing/seeding and have not had a problem yet.

Just wondering if you torrent users have ever tried the sites 'warezz-bb dot org'.

Here you can get single links to stored movies/tv shows.

I know things like this are down to preference but I personally prefer this file sharing method over the seeding torrent style.
