JD Complained:
I wish Plymouth had a goalscoring problem like the Saints!
We've won a few, but lost so many against teams we shouldn't of, and we really need a striker who can stick it in the net
Leeds Utd 0 Southampton 3It may not have felt like it at times, especially at home, but with an average of 14 efforts on goal per game, it could be argued that Saints are the most attacking and entertaining team in the division, but unless we start improving our ratio of shots per goal, we won't be celebrating Promotion or a play-off place.

Saints got it right this week, at least they put some in the net. But a lot of teams have been doing that against Leeds this season.Big Boy wrote: Leeds Utd 0 Southampton 3

Anybody that beats Leeds is a Saint by my standards. Put the scum bags in the Dr. Marten league where they belong.
As for Plymouth they seem to be suffering from the Chelsea syndrome this season. Difficult to beat but always a struggle to win.

JD,
Another 4 goals last night! Your lads are free scoring now. Maybe they tune in to HHAD and didn't appreciate the criticsm
We won't mention the defence last night
More importantly, can you give me a link to that table you provided on 13 Nov please? I found that particularly interesting.

As for Saints

I'm not saying anything else, Southend this week, the leagues top scorers against the leagues worst defence (goals against). I bet we mess it up somehow.

A special treat for football fans in the UK on SKY Sports TV tonight - Plymouth Argyle vs Coventry City. Now that Plymouth have done their wheeling & dealing in the transfer market, this will be their notification to the world that they are about to make a serious challenge for a play-off spot. I'm looking forward to a goals feast of gigantic proportions!
In the unlikely event that they don't make it to the Premiership this season, I was wondering if games from the lower divisions get shown in Thailand?
Basically, is the Big Match on TV in Thailand tonight? If it isn't, it answers my earlier question about football from the lower divisions being available in Thailand.

It wouldn't be the first time. There was a similar arrangement when I suffered the Danes slaughtering the English in Aug 05.If you were in Hua Hin, we would just leave you to lock up!!![]()

Another odd question from a weird Yank, or a weird question from an odd Yank...whichever.
I saw the Premiership standings table on the BBC today. All the teams go by only their city names, except Manchester United and Bolton Wanderers. I can understand Manchester using the 'united' tag as perhaps historically the team was made up from many local area Manchester teams?
However, I do not get the name 'wanderers' for Bolton? Better at away matches than home matches? Really don't like Bolton and want to leave? Strikers, midfield and defense wander all over the place?
Just trying to figure it out. Pete
