Your brain?

It's quite simple. I never said Arsenal weren't deserved winners.

I still think you miss the point about Hazard and the reason I introduced your two speedy, frequently injured, lads was the reference to speed and Hazard being fouled. You almost got it right with Hazard in your subsequent post. But I do feel the reason he is fouled in what might seemingly be situations that aren't dangerous if other players are involved, is because they are with Hazard. It's tactical and we saw that yesterday. Don't see how it can be changed, but there it is.

Premier League 2015-2016

Ah ok I see that you are now twisting your own words.

I started by saying that Arsenal were deserved winners, you couldn't '100% agree with my reading of the game'.

So are you now saying that Arsenal were deserved winners? It's very confusing.

The fact that you are now also resorting to personal insults tells me that you have nothing further to add that I can take seriously.

It was a friendly that doesn't mean anything insofar as the coming season is concerned. Arsenal won, Chelsea lost. What does that mean? Very little in my book.

(sigh) No I am not twisting my own words. There's no need as you've managed that perfectly well all by yourself and you're still doing it!

Go and read your original post about the game and see what else is there that might have warranted comment?

On 2nd thoughts, please don't otherwise this will never end!

I said we deserved the win, you didn't 100% agree with my reading of the game.

Meaning, regardless of what spin you try to put on it, you disagreed that Arsenal deserved to win the game.

I can't understand your reaction to this loss. It is practically a friendly after all. It really seems to have gotten under your skin.

I agree, it's embarrassing for Caller as he is clearly finding any way possible to backtrack on what he has said.

For the sake of keeping this thread readable for others I'll end the squabble.

It did get to the point of ridiculous especially when Caller resorted to throwing personal insults as he didn't have anywhere else to go.

Onto this coming weekend, it will be great to have the footy back on.

I see the Spuds are playing Real Madrid in the Audi Cup in the Allianz arena today.....the winners then play Bayern or AC Milan,I think ?
I know these pre-season tours are all about making the clubs more marketable and making money but it seems a bit close to the start of the EPL season for this.
And Harry Kane is your only striker on tour.....what happens if he tweaks a hamstring and misses the start of the season.....are you that confident of turning United over in your first game ? :o

Also Chelsea play Fiorentina on Wednesday night in the International Champions Cup.I suppose JM is thinking with them being the late kick off on Saturday the extra 2 hours rest will make all the differnce ! :rasta:
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,

"... turning over United in our first game?"

Pffft... a doddle - with or without Harry Kane.

So a new rule for the new season regarding 'offside players'.

If a player takes a shot and the ball goes into the back of the net, were there to be a player in an offside position that did as much as 'look' at the ball... then the goal will be disallowed. Regardless of contact.

Basically, it's stopping goals like the one below from Mata.

Not exactly.

A player in an offside position shall be penalised if he: "Makes an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball."

No, I'll end it. And for what it's worth, you don't end a 'squabble' by continuing with it, as above. So following your example, here's my final say. I'm not embarrassed. I haven't backtracked on anything. But I can't be responsible for you not seeing that. If indeed there were any insults, it's out of sheer frustration, that short of taking you word for word through my post, and I have indeed pointed out what I didn't entirely agree with you on, you still cannot see what I was referring to. That's not my problem, that's down to you. I could say the above post is full of pomposity, which it is, but looking back, I could be accused of the same, so I will refrain. :D

I'm surprised there is not an icon for '<yawn>' :? . . . and I have to agree, the tit for tat squabble has dragged on a little. :|

As for the Community Shield game, well it's not really a trophy but it's a bit more than just a friendly, with added incentive if it's a rival.
Not much to choose between the two teams, both had their spells on top and both had their chances, though not in abundance.

The result will have little or no affect on the coming season, which begins for real on Saturday. :D

PSG have pretty much confirmed the signing of Di Maria from United for 45 million. It's nice to see that Spurs aren't the only team that buys players only to then sell them on at a massive loss.

What time's kickoff tomorrow in Thailand (Man-U vs Spurs), I could check on google I suppose but that takes effort. It would also mean me leaving this site briefly, which I'm sure Lev wouldn't want.
