Not for long considering today's effort... they should give the Old Trafford fans their money back. A team with absolutely no direction at all. The newcomers didn't have a clue as to where to be or what to do.
Based on this effort from United today, at home - they will finish 10th. As will we (well, we can't both come 10th but you know what I mean) if I based my predictions on the last 70 minutes.
First 20 minutes of the game... one team showed some quality. One team turned up. One team had a plan. One team fecked that all up with a poor pass and an own goal.
Reputation means nothing. It still doesn't matter how well your team played, if they haven't got a decent goal scorer, they're not going to score. If you can't score, you can't win.
Rooney didn't score, but just the thought of his reputation forced an error from [Edit ]Kyle Walker.

I take it all back.....the guy is lethal in front of goal....no wonder LVG wanted him !
Seriously, the Spuds were worth a point....shocking miss by Eriksson....nothing for either set of fans to get orgasmic about for the coming season !
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,
I used to suck fat cigars but now I suck Polo mints.

Rooney didn't score, but just the thought of his reputation forced an error from Carl Walker.
But Spurs do have a decent goal scorer in Harry Kane - at one stage he was a Man U target. Ok he may not have scored today, but come the end of the season, my money would be on him scoring more goals than Mr Rooney.
"If Spurs were as superior as GLC reckons, why didn't he pop a couple in the net?"
Today, he was only really offered a half chance on his left, but he created some good chances, so his hold up play and passing game is maturing. Saying that, his last few balls towards the end of the game, showed something that was either tiredness or desperation.

Agreed, apart from scoring a goal 79 seconds after coming on, he didn't do much in the 10 minutes he was on the pitch.
C'mon BB, GLCQ may be going over the top, but if you're going to try and wind him up, at least talk sense!
"He did OK last season..." FFS, what do you want before you say he did really well?
