Where to watch NFL football??

Post by Moorebomb »

I just moved to hua hin, and with the upcoming NFL season right around the corner was wondering where are good places that show the games?

The game times do not allow many games to be shown live. They would be in the middle of the night when even bars are closed or very early in the morning when only places serving breakfast are open.

Best bet is to find a way to record them and watch when you want. I did that with TrueVisions and a PVR. By the way, even if it is on at a time when bars are open, you won't find it playing in many places. You're more likely to find soccer, rugby, cricket or golf playing on the TVs in Hua Hin.

You are in a huge minority there as an American my friend...
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Ya the early morning games usually come on around 11:00 or midnight in thailand. I had a feeling it might be a bit of challenge here in hua hin. I guess I'll just have to do some serious boots on the ground scouting, tell the missus that it's important recon.

in 15 months I have never seen a NFL game on any TV anywhere in a public place in HH...
besides the time difference, everyone will be watching some other type of sporting events...
not American NFL...
Soccer, F1, Tennis... replayed all day...

maybe cable TV with a DVR to time shift the games?

I have only met two other Americans in that same time frame in HH so extreme minority.

Night games are early morning here. El Murphy's has football (and baseball and basketball) at that time. Plenty of screens and few patrons. Good luck with the staff finding the game. Big help if one knows the exact Thai network name

You may want to look into the below. I don't have it and it's an assumption that it works here and not blocked by the NFL due to the usual piracy concerns. Pete

Ok thanks, thanks for the baseball tip, prefer that over NFL anyways especially since playoffs are coming up.

Unfortunately only Americans watch or play American football. This is why you could never be a World Champion in it as ...no one else plays it.

I'm not having a go, just saying how it is. It won't be played in any entertainment venue outside of America, as no-one, apart from Americans, want to watch it.

There's plenty of NFL shown on a number of channels available locally, and I know plenty of non-Americans who like to watch, for reasons known only to themselves. I believe they also like watching Thai music videos and paint drying.

The problem with watching it live is the timing, as stated by hhfarang above.
This is the way
