I've never had any problem in Huahin with the 90 day reporting.
A friend of mine has never reported in person, he always goes the "postal way."
I will agree with one of the above posters.
There is a young "smug" immigration officer in there who knocked me back for a visa to "support Thai wife" a few years ago at Singkon. He was definately out of order with his perception of the rules.
He also refused a friend of mine a retirement visa, believing the money was gained through "drug trafficking!"
Hope none of you ever come across him on a bad day!

If you think thats bad, you should have had the pleasure of meeting the stuck up idiot who interviewd my wife when she applied for a visa to go to the UK. As far as he was concerned, she was wanting to go and work and that was that. Three times denied with no right to appeal.

Fourth time luckly thanks to a lovely elderly gent.

Yes of course. Western embassies can be terrible. And corrupt.

Your wife's experience might be contrasted, for example, with that of Burmese, Cambodians and many Africans in Thailand. Kissing butt works fine if you have no pride, a white face and a fat wallet. Poor dark skinned young females have to kiss the other end if they want friendly service.

Well said! I have used the Hua Hin office many times and never had a problem. Whilst there I have witnessed farangs being agressive, impolite and impatient. Guess who loses!! Those who were calm, polite and patient seem to have no problems. It seems like a no-brainer to me!
