It seems odd to me that this landmark project has been built right next to a main road..?
It may be very beautiful to look out over the water from the balcony of your multi million Baht weekend retreat, but
just behind is the busy 112 road, & that section has a slight rise, so imagine staying there with the constant roar of overloaded 6-wheel trucks with minimal exhaust-silencing as they struggle on past belching mega decibels & black smoke clouds to match, & screaming motorcycle noise from the late night idiots.
There's so much land along that Banyan Rd that IMO would have been better suited, but hey..what do I know about such stuff :?

I've been looking at what I assume is the Facebook page that buksi got his photo from. Using Google Translate, the facilities are listed as:
1. Sports and solution for both indoor and outdoor water swimming pool, such as standard Olympic Stadium
Rugby, Rick Grayson's tennis squash stadium, mini golf, Kevin, the sailing climb through yoga, the muscle and fitness
2. The Rec center activities, recreation and art cooking crafts spa sauna
3. The entertainment such as room on hash and personal, and the hash of the wine tasting Tess, whiskey and the
Show special things.
4. the delicious restaurant peptides style many tastes delicious care and consultation by chef Rachel Emily level of star 3 Stars such as a store like Mediterranean gritty, digits in la until the beach bar sports cafe
There are currently about 23 building plots visible - lets say there will be 100 properties in total. Unless they are going to let the riff faff in, don't you think Rugby might be a bit over the top? They'd need at least 30 rugby playing residents for a game :?
Championship Plymouth Argyle 0 - 1 Preston NE

Points 41; Position 18

It certainly doesn't look much like the original artist's impression which showed a lake without a road in the middle.

Is this the building site along the side road you drive to the to Orchaid Palms "The View"? I think I saw the construction site last year when driving Soi 112 on the way to the Floating market.

Yes it's just on the left off Soi 112 driving from Hua Hin to the Floating Markets.

The water is crystal clear just as they advertise.

I have a couple of prime building lots for sale just down the road (actually directly next to Orchid Palms, The View). Will this thing, when completed, have a negative or positive effect on the value of those?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I think land in this location will be more desirable with the presence of the country club also great access north and south via 112,not forgetting Banyon golf club just up the road. However more specifically I believe Orchid Palm found the Views to be a difficult and expensive project due to the presence of Very Large rocks which is possibly why Views 2 and 3 have not come about.

As Taps Go Dry, Hua Hin Questions Immense Artificial Lagoon

Post by Geko »

HUA HIN — Thailand’s first manmade beach and huge artificial lagoon is raising eyebrows among residents facing a critical water supply problem.

MahaSamutr, a new luxury property development in Hua Hin was reportedly visited by the police this morning after local residents filed a complaint over its possible misuse of water, according to Matichon Online. The recently opened private club has filled a 72,000sqm lagoon while tap water service was disrupted in many households last week, and the reservoir supplying the club is critically low.

A local water resources official providing the development said that while there were distribution problems last week, it had nothing to do with the mega development.

“It was because our pipes were broken,” said Puttipat Teeravetvikul of the Pranburi Provincial Waterworks Authority. “There was a problem, but it was not related to the project.”

Puttipat said he was not aware of the inspection this morning.

MahaSamutr, billed as Asia’s first Crystal Lagoon and artificial beach, is 4 kilometers from the real beach in Hua Hin. It’s the main attraction of a 2.3 billion baht housing development that sits on 120 rai (19.2 hectare) surrounded by mountains. It’s owned by Pace Development Corporation PLC. The luxurious recreation area is also exclusive: Only those who buy a villa or are invited to buy a membership starting at 500,000 baht are allowed inside.

MahaSamutr’s Hua Hin office could not be reached for comment. A spokeswoman at its Bangkok sales office said they were unaware of the inspection but believed everything about MahaSamutr was legally compliant.

On Feb. 23, MahaSamutr said on its official Facebook page that the lagoon’s water is directly supplied from the Pranburi Provincial Waterworks Authority, which is a different source than used by Hua Hin residents.

Some remained unsatisfied by the explanation.

“My house is in Huan Hin is right next to the MahaSamutr Project. Last week water did not run for the whole week,” wrote Facebook user Mint Cho under MahaSamutr’s post.

A man made beach in Hua Hin, a beach resort....ridiculous. There is a huge water waste in Hua Hin because of golf courses and now a huge lake for wealthy people.

:lach: :agree:
But maybe the new man made beach will be horse shit free.
Their slogan would be " Come enjoy the new man made beach in Hua Hin, It's horse shit free!" Then a human stampede ensues.

Yes, it's beyond belief, if it's supposed to be a beach they should have used sea water!
