Biking groups in Hua Hin?
Are there biking groups in Hua Hin? Is it worth the money to ship a bike over from the U.S.? I have a fairly nice bike but am unsure of what's worth shipping and what's eaduer to purchase.
Re: The bikers thread; trips, news, chat, all things motorcycle
Pushbike or motorcycle?
There are a couple of both, the Hua Hin Hash group also arranges cycling and there is this group for motorbike rides: http://www.facebook.com/groups/656866374372228/
Those that dont use Facebook post here to arrange rides and trips.
Forget shipping anything over unless you want to pay 200% import duty.

Here is a nice Sunday ride if you fancy something a little on the wild side, I must be honest I struggled to even watch it

I didn't know there were bears in Thailand...
"Helmet cam shows biker's terrifying close call with a bear
A motorcyclist near Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, had a terrifying close encounter with a bear.
Just as the rider and his passenger are coming to the end of a left turn, a bear can be seen running out of the woods toward the riders.
It's unclear if the bear was attempting to attack the motorcyclist or just cross the road, but it certainly spooked the driver, who simply said, "Whoa!" after swerving slightly to avoid that animal."

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Asian Black Bear, probably escaped from some cage where it was being milked for its bile. (the people, not the bears)

Royal Enfield gears up for Asean drive
http://www.bangkokpost.com/auto/news/87 ... sean-drive
Royal Enfield, the manufacturer of classic motorcycles, seeks to expand in the Asean market over the next two years, mainly in Indonesia and Thailand.
The India-based company has also conducted a feasibility study to enter Cambodia and Vietnam, said Arun Gopal, head of international business.
The company, a subsidiary of Indian car maker Eicher Motors Ltd, launched its presence in Jakarta three weeks ago and in Bangkok last week.
"Royal Enfield has an ambition to be a leader in the mid-sized motorcycle segment of 250-750cc in the international market," Mr Gopal said. "We have already entered developed markets such as Europe, the USA and Japan, and next are emerging markets."
The Royal Enfield brand has been marketed in Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines and Singapore for some time. However, they are small markets and sales have remained thin.
In contrast, the motorbike markets in Indonesia and Thailand are huge, with annual sales of 6.5 million and 1.6 million respectively.
In Thailand, Royal Enfield has appointed General Auto Supply Co as its distributor. A 40-million-baht showroom and service centre has been built at Thong Lor Soi 23 to support sales.
