"The plan for land expropriation in 2016 throughout the country has now been announced.

What will Happen in Hua Hin?

Land Expropriation will cover 169 kilometres from Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi, Phetchaburi and Prachuab Khirikhan. In Phetchaburi, 24-Rai land worth 338 million Baht will be expropriated to construct the new double railway. 31 new train stations will be in 4 provinces: Nakhon Pathom, Sanam Chan Palace, Phrong Madua, Khlong Bangtarn, Nong Pladuk Junction, Ban Pong, Nakhon Chum, Khlong Ta Khot, Photharam, Jed Samean, Ban Kluay, Ratchaburi Bridge, Ratchaburi, Ban Khu Bua, Bo Ta Khro, Ban Pa Kai, Pak Tho, Huay Rong, Bang Khem, Khao Yoi, Nong Plalai, Bang Chak, Phetchaburi, Khao Thamon, Nong Mai Lueng, Nong Jok, Nong Sala, Ban Cha-Am Nua, Huay Sai Tai and Hua Hin. In Prachuab Khirikhan and Chumphon, land expropriation will take place in 204 Rai of land worth 118.45 million Baht.

20 new train stations will be built: Prachuab Khirikhan, Wa Ko, Wang Duan, Huay Yang, Thab Sakae, Khok Tahom, Ban Krud, Na Phak Khuang, Bang Saphan Yai, Chamuang, Bang Saphan Noi, Huay Sak, Khao Chairat, Mab Amarit, Khlong Wang Chang, Pa Tew, Ban Khok Ma, Saphleena, Cha-Ang and Chomphon. There will also be a new high-speed train from Bangkok to Hua Hin, covering 209 kilometres in 5 provinces. Lands will be expropriated will cost of over 5 billion Baht. The railway will start at the Bang Sue station in Bangkok to Nakhon Pathom, Phetchaburi and will arrive the terminal in Boh Fai, Hua Hin."

Not good news for the locals currently living along the newly proposed train stations, but maybe good news for condo/home owners who may benefit from an increase in the value of their properties once this has been completed.

Above is headed "What will happen in Hua Hin?" But then it doesn't tell us. :)

31 new train stations will be.....Ban Cha-Am Nua, Huay Sai Tai and Hua Hin.
